Design heritage, translated for today
The plan translates the Penfield House — one of Frank Lloyd Wright's rare Usonian designs, created for a tall client — keeping its higher ceilings and adapting the proportions to work within Lindal's Elements grid system.
A sequence of arrival
The experience is shaped around a strong entry progression into the great room, where clerestory light, view-side openings, and a central hearth define the main living volume.
Designed for a narrow site
The design emphasizes linear geometry, a dramatic vertical exterior feature, private primary-suite separation, and an upper level with bedrooms, a shared bath, and a balcony.
